NADA HIMALAYA presents a unified musical vision based on the sonorities and atmospheres of Tibet. While Deuter is best known for his combination of more traditional electric and acoustic sounds, NADA HIMALAYA features traditional Tibetan instruments, including bells, percussion, and Tibetan bowls collected by Deuter during his extended stay in the area.

Deuter composed the music for these bells and bowls with a classical ear for melody and variation, creating a mesmerizing sonic mosaic that is evocative of the much-mythologized spiritual tradition of the Himalayas, while managing to speak directly to contemporary listeners. The music, which resonates both literally and metaphorically, is quite beautiful, and suitable for deep meditation and spiritual reflection, or simple relaxation. Deuter released a companion album, NADA HIMALYA 2, in 2005.
